The Daughter Of The British Grandfather Whose Death Has Sparked Calls For China To Face An Inquiry Into The Truth Behind The Outbreak Of The Coronavirus Has Said Many Victims Died unnecessarily
The daughter of the British grandfather whose death has sparked calls for China to face an inquiry into the truth behind the outbreak of the coronavirus has said many victims died 'unnecessarily'.
Jane Buckland said she was 'shocked' to find that her 84-year-old father Peter Attwood, from Chatham, Kent, had died of the disease after he first suffered Covid symptoms on December 28 last year - three days before the Chinese government reported the outbreak to the World Health Organisation.
She revealed that she 'knew' he had died of coronavirus in her 'heart of hearts', and has suggested that 'we might be be able to find out that some people actually did die of it earlier' if authorities keep digging.
Her intervention comes as the death of her father raises fresh questions about an alleged Chinese cover-up of the outbreak, with Beijing long claiming the virus was first recorded in a Wuhan wet market just before Christmas.
Ms Buckland, 46, told [ ] last night that she raised suspicions he had contracted Covid-19 with friends and family at the time, only to have her claims rejected as it was believed the virus had not yet reached the UK.
'I was initially shocked, kynghidongduong.vn but the other part of me wasn't shocked,' she said.' I remember saying to the coroner 'it's bonkers' but actually in my heart of hearts I already knew, and I'd be saying to friends and family that I think he had this coronavirus.
But obviously everyone sort of went 'nope' because it wasn't even in the country.
'If we do dig further, we might be able to find out that some people actually did die of it earlier.
'And I know it's not going to change it now, tour phượng hoàng cổ trấn but I think that the families need to know that possibly their relatives - their loved ones - did die maybe unnecessarily if we'd known about it.'
