As the capital of China, Beijing (or Peking) is always the first or even the only city in foreign leaders' China tours.

David Cameron and his team with more than 150 members also chose Beijing as their first destination. The Great Wall, which has been visited by many political leaders including Mandela, Putin, Sarkozy and at least five US presidents, had been climbed by Cameron during his visit of China in 2010, thus it was not included in his tour last December.
Instead, Cameron and his team tried some traditional Beijing dishes. They enjoyed roast duck at an old and famous restaurant, and had a taste of soy bean paste (zha jiang mian) at another famous one where Joe Biden ever paid a visit.

Cameron's next destination is Shanghai, an international metropolis which initiated the Chinese high-speed rail system.

Prior to his visit to China, kynghidongduong.vn Cameron expressed excitement at the anticipation of a ride in a Chinese high speed train, but it is a pity that the Prime Minister didn't experience this high-end transport due to tight schedule. High-speed railway construction thus became one of the topics between Cameron and students at Shanghai Jiao Tong University during his visit at the university.
